Black Hills tourism all set to welcome another busy summers:Mount Rushmore
Dakota News Now was at Crazy Horse on Thursday; however this summer, there are other reasons to go to the Black Hills.
From Crazy Horse: Mount Rushmore, the first location is just about a half hour distant. Per year, the national park averages around 2.5 million visitors.Officials claim that attendance in 2023 has increased 2.5 percent, with many of them striking off a bucket list item or indulging in a return trip.
Earl Perez-Foust, program manager, said that they’ll walk up and down the avenue and get to face questions like, was this one still here when he/she was here 30 years back? So they’ll have to be aware of all the different features and their time of installation. They’re never alone when people come back. They accompany their loved ones and they’re sharing with new generation this place that was so special to them.
Mount Rushmore officials stated that they work directly with state tourism to promote close by destinations and offer Black Hills experience in general.Organizers are preparing for yet another Sturgis Motorcycle Rally further north.
In 2022, over 500,000 people took part in the rally, which generated almost $800 million, approximately one percent of the GDP of the state for the economy of South Dakota, according to a study from Texas A&M.
Tammy Even-Cordell, rally director said that the event is something that you really have to watch it on yourself.
