APCA starts taking students for Bachelor’s degree in tourism studies
Of late, the Academy of Pastry & Culinary Arts, a group of professional culinary pastry schools together with a presence pan Asia has kick-started their flagship Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Studies.
This degree program features practical training at the beginner’s to advanced levels, in pastry and culinary arts as well as in hotel management and entrepreneurial management. Post their intermediate, students can apply for this course. Graduates of high school who are keen on a career in the culinary, bakery or food and beverage can think about this curriculum.
From 7th August 2023, the intake of the new session will start. The classes would be conducted by highly experienced & decorated chefs who primarily aim on hands-on training. Previously, for the culinary program, the teaching facilities were available in Bangalore centers of APCA only.
With basic topics like Personality Development, Food science and Nutrition, French Communication class, Components of F&B services, and others the study regime starts. It goes on to become proficient in internal cuisines as well. Furthermore, certification from Skill India, City & Guilds,UK and APCA India puts in to the substitutes for looking into international work opportunities.
It has 90% hands-on experience. Also, per week, all students will have to make their product with 40 hours of training.
In addition, students will be offered a diploma by City & Guilds UK and Skill India that’s recognized abroad as well.
