Kerala has made a standard modification towards promoting, helping and sustaining Green Tourism and added efforts will be adopted to fortify the model with improved stress on safeguarding the ecology, heritage and culture of the state, P.A. Mohamed Riyas, the tourism minister, has said the above.
This alteration would bring about more sustainability for the environment, offer ample opportunities for the people and bring inclusive affluence by encouraging entrepreneurship and invention, he explained in a press note issued in line with the World Tourism Day on 27 th September.
The Kerala Minister said that the state had adopted critical steps in terms of climate action, setting up flexible infrastructure, and more improved participation of community in tourism. Emphasizing that local self-government Institutions had been requested for endorsing tourism activities that are environment-friendly and keeping tourism assets unsoiled, smart and green, he said more and more tourist destinations would be handed over with green certification.
Mr. Riyas also added that the state of Kerala has been a forerunner in leveraging tourism for grass-root level financial and social growth and enablement of youth and women. The State Tourism department has introduced many projects to encourage and help entrepreneurship with generation of jobs and profitable
engagement as their main aim.
