Monsoon tourism in Kerala yet to take off

Monsoon Tourism Delayed in Kerala

The rainy season is by now in progress. However, the much-broadcasted ‘Monsoon Tourism’, is still a
spoilsport in many of the important tourism spots of Kerala, particularly Alappuzha.

This is even with Kerala Tourism organizing a huge promotion of the monsoon tourism of the state across West Asia, and spending an enormous Rs. seven crore for publicity undertakings at airports in Dubai and Doha.

Alappuzha boasts of fabulous backwaters, inlets and beaches and ranked two in the gradation of districts witnessing huge tourist numbers in 2022. However, the monsoon missions are still on the way, despite the fact that time is running out speedily.

The reason is that the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) stayed without any head for practically six months before a new representative lastly assumed office last week. The new schemes are still in the preparation phase with time running out speedily.
