Lishui City plays the trump card with incentives in tourism

Lishui City located in Zhejiang Province in east China has recently published a tourism card in Shanghai in this weekend with intent to draw urban dwellers to the picturesque spot.

The card provides discounted housing facilities at 26 boutique minsu along with cultural and tourism products at discounted rates.

In Shanghai, it was presented to 10 chambers of commerce and enterprises and will be distributed to Shanghai residents through travel agencies.

Travelers are requested to take a nap under star studded skies and next to the streams of the mountains, get up to the bird chirping in the adjacent trees, enjoy the appetizing cuisines made from local ingredients, and witness an idyllic dwelling lifestyle in Lishui.

Lishui has been doing many things to grow and expand itself as a leisure tourist resort destination in the mountains with rural minsu in the centre-stage, the culture and tourism authorities of the city said.

It had registered 3,427 minsus in 2022 which created a cluster of industries in southwest Zhejiang. They received 26.97 million visits by tourists all the year round, harvesting tourism revenue of 2.72 billion yuan.

The rural tourism income of the city increased to more than 15 percent annually in the last five years, churning out a wealth from green assets.

The owners of some minsus, during the promotion in Shanghai, shared their personal stories.
