Halifax Tourism Industry Flourishes as Touchdown Atlantic and North American Indigenous Games Attract Thousands
The tourism industry of Halifax is seeing a major growth after The Touchdown Atlantic and North American Indigenous Games successfully lured tens and thousands of people to the city.
On Saturday over 11,000 football fanatics jam-packed Husky Stadium to see the Toronto Argonauts and the Saskatchewan Roughriders fighting against each other.
Brian and Allison Morgan, Rider supporters were among them. It was truly a hot game day, says Brian. Still the game was a major accomplishment. Like several others, The Morgan’s turned the event into a chance to explore the city.Brian said that his lives here along with her husband and they love the city. So, it’s a huge opportunity for them to come here for some extra days and hang around.
They knew it was going to be a demanding one however; sincerely the reception was ahead of they had expected, says Brendan Doherty, co-owner of the Old Triangle pub.The Old Triangle pub got majorly profited from the flood of enthusiasts is just one of the downtown restaurants and bars located.
Doherty says that with not a single doubt anything that is going on in the city is always good news. We’ve got a great Wanderers team this year which is always great and busy, but touchdown Atlantic was on another level of people out and about. It was great to see,” says Doherty.
