Jammu and Kashmir:Tourism Department flags off new bus service
By the tourism department, for Jammu Darshan, a special bus service was started off for the Amarnath pilgrims who are putting up in the Yatri Niwas here on Saturday, a spokesperson said this recently. This special attempt has been made to encourage Jammu tourist spots among arriving pilgrims and other type of tourists, the spokesperson said.
He also stated that the pilgrims who availed the bus service of Jammu and Kashmir Road Transport Corporation got their picked up from Yatri Niwas Bhagwati Nagar. Late they were toured to various tourist hotspots that are situated in and around Jammu.
From states like Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, and Maharashtra, tourists have enjoyed the day-long trip and congratulated the tourism department for encouraging the possibilities of J&K destinations and offering them with a huge opportunity to explore these fantastic places, the spokesperson said.
Mr. Vivekanand Rai, Director of Tourism Jammu, who inaugurated this exclusive bus service, stated that it will be a regular feature to help the pilgrims particularly during the deferral time of yatra so that the pilgrims can take pleasure in the locatios of Jammu and its surrounding areas during the day trips.
Sunaina Sharma Mehta, Joint Director of Tourism Jammu, said that this bus service shall help in promoting local attractions like Jhiri, Akhnoor, Suchetgarh, and others.
