Maharashtra tourism considers promoting tourism places in Nashik

The Maharashtra tourism division has considered promoting several tourism places in Nashik district to lure more tourists, said Madhumita Sardesai, the deputy director of the state tourism division.

The office-bearers of Travel Agents Association Nashik (TAAN) among others attended the tourism assembly joined in by Sardesai.

The Maharashtra tourism division has already declared strategies to increase travel and trade prospects in the state. The tourism meeting in Nashik was organized as part of this development.

Jagdish Chavan, the regional manager of the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC)
Nashik, shared his views regarding the several schemes embarked on by the tourism business in the
region. He said that the efforts for the Kalagram scheme are under way in Nashik and it will be finished
within a year.

The tourism division aims to execute a wide-ranging plan for improving tourism and trade. This plan
comprises growth of new tourism trails, improvement of current arrangement and upgrading of sustainable tourism practices. The tourism division also targets collaborating with several stakeholders, comprising travel agencies and tour workers, along with native communities, for creating a memorable experience for tourists while guaranteeing financial development and empowerment of the area.
