Governor of East Java suggests setting up attractions in villages
Khofifah Indar Parawansa, East Java Governor, has requested village heads to put up tourist attractions in the way that agrees with the possibility in their respective areas.
On Wednesday, in a statement she said that tourism development is essential as it can have a major effect that can be sensed openly by the community.
On Tuesday she said that tourism is necessary as the multiplier consequence is unexpected in the sector and can be felt by the community instantly. She explained that scenic spot development in villages can help the players to engage in micro, small, and medium enterprises, including the ones in the culinary.
She said while citing instances that to increase income, tourism villages in Batu City can be optimized. The possibility of farm and agriculture-based tourism has the chance to draw tourists.
She said that concerning tourism village, generally, it can raise fast as the head of the village is focused and hard-working. In advancement, every tourism village will be rapid if followed by new innovations.
She also mentioned that the tourism village management would be built up fast if villages set up village-owned enterprises, like the one set up in the Pujonkidul Tourism Village, Malang district in East Java.
Besides, she continued, the aspect of promotion is necessary as well.
