In energy and tourism, Saudi Arabia exceeds its target.
The campaigns of Saudi Arabia to launch its alternative energy and tourism while attracting greater number of women population into the labor market are proceeding beyond the targets, although the kingdom still encountering tough situations to its objectives for turning into a world financial center.
While referring to the annual report on Vision 2030, the plan that was offered seven years back to direct a spectacular overhauling of Saudi society, experts stated that the enhanced benchmarks were because of the world-leading financial growth in 2022. Increased oil revenue gave this expansion and boosted the investment funds of the kingdom.
Mohammed AlQahtani, CEO of government-owned Saudi Arabia Holding Co. said that in spite of the world economic hardships, the country’s wealth is rising at an extraordinary rate. Also, its GDP has increased to a higher-than-expected level. He stated that the government is on target and expected to exceed its Vision 2030 goal. The markers who were outlined in Vision 2030, the annual report explained that 25% share of Saudi Arabia on non-oil exports in non-oil GDP has surpassed its target by 6.3%. The report from the Arabic-language report on Friday published on the Vision 2030 website, maps out the milestone in terms of financial and social high-points for the development of the kingdom in the impending seven years.
In 2022, tourism revenue increased by 121% over 2021 as the country drew 16.5 million visitors from abroad.
