Marhi, is a shanty love in Himachal Pradesh is a well-known vacation spot located between Manali and Rohtang, from tomorrow it will be opened for tourists.

To cross the Gulaba wall, the tourists will have to look for an online permission by paying Rs. 550. According to the directives of the National Green Tribunal, only 800 petrol and 400 diesel vehicles will be permitted now on.

The owners of electric vehicle are not needed to look for a permit and the vehicles which are more than ten years old are not allowed.

Yesterday, Ashutosh Garg, Kullu DC, said that the Manali SDM examined the road condition after which a decision was taken to permit the tourist vehicles up to Marhi.

He also stated that from the Manali-Rohtang-Koksar road, the BRO had cleaned snow and now it has taken on snow clearance for parking at Rohtang Pass. Soon the movement of tourist vehicles to Rohtang Pass will be permitted.

In 2022, the Kullu administration had opened once again Marhi, the tourist hotspot, on April 15 th . But in 2023 the opening got holdup as during March and April, the weather conditions remained unfavorable.

Till now, the tourist vehicles were permitted till the barrier at Gulaba. At present, at Gulaba and Marhi, there is no snow. So, the recipients of the tourism industry have asked that the tourists should be permitted to go till the snow point at Rahni Nala near Marhi.
