Unveiling in Style – Qatar Airways Dazzling Livery for Doha Expo 2023

Qatar Airways was thrilled to announce the 2023 Doha dazzling livery. Group Chief Executive of Qatar Airways, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, embellished the A330-300 aircraft with the EXPO 2023 livery at Hamad International Airport. It was a symbol to commemorate Qatar Airways and Hamad International Airport’s positions as strategic partners of the six-month event.

Doha International Horticulture Expo 2023 at Al Bidda Park with its slogan “Green Desert, Better Environment” has special significance. It emphasizes innovative approaches to combat desertification. It will run from October 2023 to March 2024 and is expected to draw around three million international visitors. It will provide an aesthetic experience of beautiful gardens, extensive green spaces, art, cuisine, and a strategy of environment sustainability for future generations.

Qatar Airways will feature the “Qatar Airways Garden,” which will highlight the theme of the Expo. It will also offer enhanced in-flight Expo-themed experiences which will provide 30 gardening-related shows in flight starting from 11 October 2023 The event was attended by high-profile dignitaries, including the President of Ashghal, H.E. Dr. Engr. Saad Ahmed Al Mohannadi; Chief Operating Officer at Hamad International Airport, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al Meer; Secretary-General of Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha, Engr. Mohamed Ali al-Khouri; in addition to the senior management of Qatar Airways and the Expo team.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said: “The arrival of the Expo 2023 Doha aircraft at Hamad International Airport symbolizes our commitment to fostering a sustainable and innovative future as enshrined in Qatar’s national vision.”

Secretary-General of Expo 2023 Doha, Engr. Mohammed Ali Al Khouri, added: “Qatar Airways has consistently demonstrated its commitment to sustainability through its various global initiatives. As a testament to this commitment, we are honored to take part in the unveiling of our Expo 2023 Doha livery. This milestone not only represents a celebration of our joint efforts but also serves as a powerful symbol of our ongoing environmental stewardship in the region.”

This EXPO will be an opportunity to discuss about challenges of the nature of desert climate and solutions to developing a green sustainable environment in the countries in the Middle East region.

Saudi Arabia’s Gift to Tourism: The Riyadh School of Tourism and Hospitality

The Riyadh School of Tourism and Hospitality made its premiere on World Tourism Day (WTD) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The school is co-founded by the Ministry of Tourism of Saudi Arabia and Qiddiya in collaboration with UNWTO. It is to be located at the Kingdom’s entertainment megaproject headquarters, Qiddiya, with an interim facility at Princess Nourah University.

This school is aiming to bridge the global skill shortage in the tourism sector. It is intended to become the first student-centric institute and empower the next generation of tourism and hospitality leaders. The school will amalgamate all the required characteristics of tourism training which will accelerate the future growth of the tourism sector. The school will have state-of-the-art facilities, top-tier faculty, and avant-garde technologies. The school will start its session in Q4 2024 and by 2030 will have a student intake of more than 25,000 per year. It will follow a hybrid curriculum and will offer both academic and vocational education.

A press conference was held where the Minister of Tourism of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Ahmed Al-Khateeb, and the UNWTO Secretary General, Zurab Pololikashvil stated the various developments that will be undertaken. His Excellency Ahmed Al-Khateeb, said: “Riyadh School of Tourism and Hospitality is
Saudi’s gift to the world. Through its pioneering curriculum, which will offer comprehensive higher education courses covering all aspects of the tourism and hospitality industry, the school represents Saudi’s commitment to providing comprehensive, progressive education that empowers individuals, both domestically and internationally”.

Zurab Pololikashvili, Secretary-General of the UNWTO, added: “The latest developments of the Riyadh School of Tourism and Hospitality mark an important milestone in our pursuit of a more sustainable and resilient tourism sector”.

The Middle East is one of the fastest-growing tourism destinations. According to the WTTC, Saudi Arabia had trained 80,000 citizens by 2022, and committed to investing over $100 million in education and training. The tourism sector employs almost 12% of the working population. The GDP contribution is expected to reach $9.5 trillion in 2023.

The Riyadh School of Tourism and Hospitality is indeed Saudi’s gift to the world tourism sector. It is a big step towards bridging the global tourism skills gap and progress of the global tourism sector.

Jordan ranked as the 9th best tourist getaway worldwide

Jordan was ranked ninth among the top tourist destinations worldwide by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO).After the pandemic Middle East has seen growing numbers of travellers visiting its unique attraction and rich cultural heritage. It has recorded a remarkable growth rate of 23 percent in visitor numbers surpassing the pre-pandemic rate of 2019. 


The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities tried to haul up the tourism sector and alleviate the consequences of the global pandemic by implementing various fundamental measures. At the same time, the ministry has credited this accomplishment to His Majesty King Abdullah and HRH Crown Prince Hussein who directed the government to emphasize on tourism sector for economic development. The ministry added that the course of action taken by the government in partnership with the private sector and the concerned entities had a significant impact on the effort to captivate large numbers of travellers.


The ministry said in a statement that Jordan has shown a remarkable achievement during the first eight months of the current year of 2023, with 4,503,537 visitors. It has seen an increase rate of 41.9 percent compared with the same period in 2022. According to data issued by the Central Bank, tourism revenues have reached JD3.651 billion. The number of visitors visiting Jordan is groundbreaking compared to previous years.

A statement on the Impending US government shutdown from USTOA

Tourists come back to Taiwan for its timeless allure
